Fall Concert Tour

I’m delighted to announce my first extended concert tour! I will be traveling throughout the Canadian prairie provinces in partnership with Living Room Live, an organization whose vision I wholeheartedly share - to bring classical music to the farthest reaches in intimate settings. 

 I will be giving a series of concerts in homes, churches, and community halls, providing an opportunity for close interaction with my audience members. I’m very much looking forward to sharing music by some of my favorite composers – the great Russian romantics. In many ways this intimate format revives the 19th century salon concert, which was the most common setting for hearing live music at the time. 

The program centers on Bach’s mighty 4th Partita, a piece that exudes joy and majesty while at turns looking inward to convey achingly personal sentiments. A collection of works from quintessential Russian Romantics provides a striking contrast. Beginning with Tchaikovsky, and moving through Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, and Medtner, an entirely different musical world is gradually revealed; full of haunting melodies, vivid colours and fantastic tales.
